About

Praised by the New York Times as a “major vocal talent,” Joseph Keckler is a singer, storyteller, and performance artist whose work blends rich, operatic vocals with sharp wit and surreal observations. He has performed everywhere from NPR Tiny Desk and Lincoln Center to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, which commissioned his most recent performance work, A Good Night in the Trauma Garden.

Drawing from highlights across his career as well as new material, this one-night performance offers an evening of songs and stories that are funny, strange, and wholly unexpected. In The Loft, audiences are enveloped in Keckler’s singular world, blurring the boundaries between the ordinary and the absurd.
