Tickets to ArtPower events can be purchased online from UCSD Box Office website or by phone. Mail and in-person ticket purchases have been suspended until the campus is open to the public. Please note: We have transitioned to a new ticketing system as of August 2020. All ticket orders will go through Paciolan. 

2020–21 SEASON TICKET ON SALE DATES

August 3, 2020: For events in October–December, 2020
November 16, 2020: For events in January–March, 2021
TBA: For events in April–May, 2021

UC San Diego Box Office Hours
Closed: July–December 2020
Starting January 2021:
Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm (closed Saturday and Sunday). Box office is open one hour before each scheduled event in the lobby of the venue.

Note: General Admission (GA) tickets are first-come, first-served in the unreserved general seating/standing area. General Admission tickets guarantee entry and standing room, but do not guarantee a seat.

We are committed to the health and safety of our artists, students, patrons, and staff and will accommodate ticket exchanges and refunds, should you be unable to safely attend an event. If an event needs to be rescheduled or canceled, we will inform you as soon as possible, providing you with the option of a ticket exchange, donation, or refund. Refunds will be available less applicable fees.

The pricing for artPOWERHOUSE virtual performances is on the honor system and is based on the number of devices. All artPOWERHOUSE virtual events are priced at $10 per device.

SuperPOWERED pricing is listed for all our virtual events. It’s the the average price you would’ve paid to see the event live. Thank you for being our superhero!

UC San Diego Community Pricing
All UC San Diego student, faculty, and staff will get free access to all our artPOWERHOUSE events. Sign onto your SSO account to reserve your free tickets.

How To Order Tickets

You can purchase tickets online, by phone, in person at the Box Office, and at most events (subject to availability).

ONLINE – GENERAL PUBLIC

  • Find the event you would like to purchase and select Buy Tickets
  • Select the quantity of tickets you would like to purchase and click Add to Cart
  • Review your tickets in your Shopping Cart and select your Delivery Method
  • If you need to edit your selection, you may do so on this screen, by clicking on Edit or Remove
  • After you have reviewed your order, click Checkout
  • Please log in with your account information or create a new account if you are a new customer
  • Verify your Account Information and please make sure your contact information is up to date
  • Enter your Payment Information
  • After verifying all information is correct, please click Place Your Order
  • You will then shortly receive an email confirming your order

PHONE

  • Tickets for select events may be purchased by calling the UCSD Box Office at (858)534-8497 during normal operating business hours. UC San Diego student, faculty, and staff discounts for events are not available by phone and discounts are not applicable to all events.

IN PERSON/BOX OFFICE

  • You may purchase tickets in person at the UCSD Box Office located at the plaza level of Price Center West (to the right of The Price Center Theater), during normal operating business hours. UC San Diego students, faculty, and staff must present UCSD-issued ID to receive any applicable discounts.

EVENT

  • Tickets are available for sale at most events. All events are subject to capacity and may sell out any time, we highly recommend you purchase tickets in advance.

ONLINE – UC San Diego Students via SSO

  • Click on the Login button on the upper right hand corner of the website. Or click here > 
  • Click on the yellow button: Log In as Student/Faculty 
  • Sign in using your SSO. It will redirect to My Account 
  • From there, you can select Student Events to see all discounted student events.
  • Select event you’re interested in. It will redirect you to the ticketing page for that specific event.
  • On the ticketing page, you’ll see UC San Diego Student ticket option (limit 2 per account). Select the quantity of tickets you’d like and click on Add to Cart.
  • Review your tickets in your Shopping Cart and select your Delivery Method
  • If you need to edit your selection, you may do so on this screen, by clicking on Edit or Remove
  • After you have reviewed your order, click Checkout
  • Verify your Account Information and please make sure your contact information is up to date
  • Enter your Payment Information
  • After verifying all information is correct, please click Place Your Order
  • You will then shortly receive an email confirming your order

ONLINE – UC San Diego Faculty and Staff via SSO

Option 1 (if you want to browse all the available discounted tickets for faculty/staff):

  • From there, you can select Events to see all events available on the ticketing system.

  • On the ticketing page, you’ll see faculty/staff ticket option (limit 2 per account), as well as additional price type for additional tickets. Select the quantity of tickets you’d like and click on Add to Cart.
  • Review your tickets in your Shopping Cart and select your Delivery Method

  • After you have reviewed your order, click Checkout

Option 2 (if you know the event you’d like to attend)

  • Click on the event you’re interested in and click on the Buy Tickets button.
  • This will direct you to the event ticket purchase page. From there, click on My Account to sign in with your SSO.
  • You will be redirected back to the page that you were originally at, with the faculty/staff pricing option now visible. Select the quantity of tickets you’d like and click on Add to Cart.
  • Review your tickets in your Shopping Cart and select your Delivery Method
  • If you need to edit your selection, you may do so on this screen, by clicking on Edit or Remove
  • After you have reviewed your order, click Checkout
  • Verify your Account Information and please make sure your contact information is up to date
  • Enter your Payment Information
  • After verifying all information is correct, please click Place Your Order

Series Subscription:
Series Subscriptions have been suspended for the 2020–21 season in order to accommodate any requirements on social distancing. No worries—your seats are held for the 2021–22 season!

Order tickets to three or more performances of your choice in any series genre and receive:

    • Pay no exchange fees when you need to swap your tickets for another performance.*
    • Lost Ticket Insurance: if you lose your ticket, don’t worry, your seats are guaranteed.

*As an ArtPower donor or subscriber, you receive ticket exchanges at no additional charge. Patrons who are not donors or subscribers can exchange tickets for a $5 handling fee per transaction. Exchanges must be requested in person, by mail, or by phone no later than forty-eight business hours prior to the performance. Exchanges are only valid within the same series. Exchanges must be of equal or greater value and are subject to availability. There are no refunds on tickets unless an event is rescheduled or canceled. Tickets may not be donated back to ArtPower for tax deduction purposes.

DISCOUNTS

Groups: Save 15%
Groups of 10 or more people who attend the same performance receive 15% off regular ticket price.

Youth/San Diego Students: Save 50%
Youth (ages 5–18) and students with valid student ID within San Diego County receive 50% off the regular ticket price. Not all performances are suitable for young children. See event descriptions for more details. Regardless of age, all children must have a ticket. Children under five are not permitted inside the theater.

UCSD Students
We recognize students’ budgets can be tight, so we make sure our performances are affordable. We do this by offering a limited number of reduced-price tickets. This discount applies to UC San Diego graduate and undergraduate students that pay student activities/services fee. Tickets start at $9.

Subscription Orders are subject to a flat $5 handling fee.

For all advance season ticket orders, seating requests will be confirmed by phone or email before processing orders.

When in-person events are possible, increased safety protocols will be established that accommodate the latest health guidelines and consider the health and safety of patrons, staff, and artists. All performances will be general admission to help accommodate the ever-changing landscape and allows us to be as flexible as possible.

Wheelchair seating and accessible parking are available at all of our venues. Please mention your needs when purchasing tickets so that an appropriate seat can be reserved for you. Information on where to park is available at artpower.ucsd.edu/visit/directions.

Assisted-Listening Devices

Department of Music’s Conrad Prebys Concert Hall

Located on the campus, the Conrad Prebys Music Center Concert Hall is a state-of-the-art music venue designed by architect Mark Reddington and Wendy Pautz of LMN Architects, with renowned acoustician Cyril M. Harris. The concert hall’s interior is an asymmetrical system of triangular surfaces that fold around the room in different directions to diffuse sound evenly through the space.

Balboa Theatre

HOW DO I CONTACT THE BOX OFFICE?

WILL MY TICKETS BE MAILED OR HELD AT THE BOX OFFICE?

The box office offers both options during the purchase process, you may choose your preferred method. However, if you would like your tickets to be mailed, there is an additional charge and the purchase must be made at least 10 business days prior to the event. If you would like your tickets held at will call, there is an additional charge and you may pick those up starting one hour prior to the event from the box office at the venue.

WHAT DO I DO IF I LOSE MY TICKETS?

In the event that you misplace your tickets, please make sure to call the box office at your earliest convenience. If you have lost your tickets on the day of the event, you may also visit the box office at the venue starting one hour prior to the event start time, please be prepared with your photo identification and credit card used to purchase the tickets. $5 reprint fee applies. Tickets can also be sent to your mobile devices at no charge.

TICKET PRICES ARE LESS EXPENSIVE NOW THAN WHEN I BOUGHT MY TICKETS ORIGINALLY, CAN I GET A REFUND?

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Discounts may not be applied to previous purchases.

WHEN A PERFORMANCE I WANT TO ATTEND IS SOLD OUT, CAN I BE PLACED ON A WAIT LIST?

At this time, we do not offer a waiting list for tickets to sold out events. Should tickets become available, they will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

ARE THERE ANY TICKET FEES?

Fees are charged based on each performance and venue. For most ArtPower events, the fees are included in the price of the ticket (breakdown of fees will be available at checkout). There is an $5 per order fee for all subscription orders. Delivery fees apply to Will Call pickup ($5) and Mailed tickets ($10). For lost tickets, there is a $5 reprint fee.

These fees are subject to change at any time.

HOW DO I PURCHASE GROUP TICKETS?

Group tickets are available for parties of 10 or more. Group tickets can be purchased directly online. If you need additional assistance, please contact the box office using the information above to assist with this purchase.

HOW DO I PURCHASE UC SAN DIEGO FACULTY, STAFF, AND/OR STUDENT TICKETS FOR VIRTUAL EVENTS?

Two ways to get access to virtual events

  • A link will be sent to the UC San Diego flyer system and Student Insider for faculty, staff, and students the week of the event. Faculty, staff, and students will be able to sign on directly through Single Sign-oOn for access.
  • Preferred: Reserve free tickets in advance through the ticketing system.
    • By the end of August, UC San Diego community will be able to log into the ticketing system using Single Sign-On and reserve free tickets for upcoming fall virtual events. This method will allow the box office to send reminder emails and link to the event directly to your inbox.
