One of the most respected MCs in any language, Ana Tijoux has been winning over fans around the world since her debut 1977 bubbled up from an underground sensation into mainstream recognition after being featured on the hit TV show “Breaking Bad” and favorited by Radiohead’s Thom Yorke.

“South America’s answer to Lauryn Hill: equally skillful at singing and rapping,” (New York Times), Tijoux brings her new album Vengo on tour to the US—her first full US tour since 2018—which showcases the nimble MC over lush, golden-era hip-hop production rooted in traditional Latin instrumentation.

Born in France to Chilean parents in political exile during Pinochet’s dictatorship, Tijoux moved back to Chile as a teenager and found a home in the emerging hip-hop scene of Santiago. In concert, Tijoux takes the stage with a full band that brings to life the intricate arrangements of the new album, a whirlwind trip through hip-hop, jazz, and funk, spiced with a bit of politics and her great sense of humor that has led audiences around the globe fall in love with her.

For the past three decades, he’s toured as a pop artist, while also performing with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras.

A New York Times Best Selling author and podcast host, Ben also composes for film, tv and theatre, guest stars in films and TV, and serves as the Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

A longtime advocate for arts and music education funding, Ben launched a music education charitable initiative in his native state of North Carolina entitled “Keys For Kids,” which provides funds and keyboards to existing nonprofits that provide free or affordable music lessons to interested school-age children. On the national level, he’s active as a member of Americans For The Arts and the Arts Action Fund.

“Deep Listening: The Story of Pauline Oliveros” tells the story of the iconic composer, performer, teacher, philosopher, technological innovator and humanitarian, Pauline Oliveros. She was one of the world’s original electronic musicians, one of the only females amongst notable post-war American composers, a master accordion player, a teacher and mentor to musicians, a gateway to music and sound for non-musicians and a technical innovator who helped develop everything from tools that allow musicians to play together while in different countries to software that enables those with severe disabilities to create beautiful music. On the vanguard of contemporary American music for six decades, her story illuminates the pathway to how we got where we are and where the future will take us in the worlds of music, the philosophy of sound, and the art of listening.

Produced in collaboration with executive producer lone, Oliveros’ partner in life and work, and the Ministry of Maat, Inc., the film combines rare archival footage, live performances, and unreleased music with appearances by Terry Riley, Anna Halprin, lone, Linda Montano, Laurie Anderson, Thurston Moore, Alvin Lucier, Claire Chase, Miya Masaoka, Morton Subotnick, Tony Martin, Ramon Sender and many more ground- breaking artists.

Just as food brings people together, this event combines the culinary innovation of Ottolenghi with suggestions and questions from the audience (that’s you!) to create a one-off live experience.  Yotam will undoubtedly share some childhood stories, his passion for layered dishes with bold flavors and colorful ingredients, and his influences from across the world.

Grab your captain’s hat! The nautical-suited “Titans of Soft Rock” Yachtley Crew will be making port in San Diego for its “Full Steam Ahead Tour”.

The seven-piece band burst onto the California club scene in 2017 and has spent the past few years selling out shows across the US and gathering a fan base of “Crewpies” that is unsurpassed. 

Yacht Rock encapsulates the revival of soft rock and Top 40 hits from the late 70s to the early 80s, which has become a nation wide phenomenon, inspiring fans to dress the part and sing along. The Center for Experimentation and Production of Contemporary Music (CEPROMUSIC), founded in 2012, is the leading new music ensemble in Mexico and a publicly funded program through which artistic and academic activities converge in support of the creation and promotion of contemporary music. In its first ever visit to the US West Coast, Cepromusic will offer two concerts at UC San Diego’s Conrad Prebys Music Center, featuring enthralling recent works by Mexican and UC San Diego composers.


The Center for Experimentation and Production of Contemporary Music (CEPROMUSIC), created in 2012, is a space in which artistic and academic activities converge in favor of the creation, development and dissemination of contemporary music in Mexico. In addition to its regular seasons at the Palace of Fine Arts, the CEPROMUSIC Ensemble has made eight international tours with great success from critics and the public, to Germany, Colombia, Scotland, Spain, England, Brazil and two to the United States; as well as artistic and academic residencies in Colombia, Spain, the United States, Mexico and the United Kingdom. In 2018, his career was recognized with an invitation to the Darmstadt Summer Festival. The ensemble’s repertoire tries to summon the broadest aspect of the current scene: from new complexity to improvisation or from macro timbre to real-time code.

CEPROMUSIC has had residencies and collaborations with composers and performers such as Anna Göckel, Chris Cogburn, Christian Wolff, Dafne Vicente, Irvine Arditti, James Dillon, John Butcher, Joshua Fineberg, Kaija Saariaho, Katalin Károlyi, Klaus Lang, Peter Ablinger, Sigma Project Quartet, Susan Platts, Tiffany DuMouchelle, Tony Arnold, UMS ‘n JIP and Ute Wassermann, among others. In addition to its decided Latin American vocation, the CEPROMUSIC Ensemble is the instrument of a large part of contemporary Mexican composers, having collaborated, commissioned, performed and recorded national composers of several generations. The ensemble regularly collaborates with other disciplines such as video, theater, silent film, dance and multimedia, and has three record productions. Since its creation, the ensemble has performed more than 383 concerts in which it has performed more than 675 works and 212 premieres.

Además de sus temporadas regulares en el Palacio de Bellas Artes, el Ensamble CEPROMUSIC ha realizado ocho giras internacionales con gran éxito de crítica y público, por Alemania, Colombia, Escocia, España, Inglaterra, Brasil y dos por Estados Unidos; así como residencias artísticas y académicas en Colombia, España, Estados Unidos, México y Reino Unido. En 2018, su trayectoria fue reconocida con una invitación al Festival de Verano de Darmstadt. El repertorio del ensamble trata de convocar a lo más amplio de la escena actual: de la nueva complejidad a la improvisación o del macro timbre al código en tiempo real.
