Sound Lab: Exploring the Roots of Brazilian Jazz

Legendary Brazilian maestro, composer, and pianist, Laércio de Freitas will share the seminal Brazilian jazz recordings that he was a part of and discuss the fascinating stories of what inspired/influenced the music, and how those records came together. He will be joined by his singer/songwriter daughter, Thalma de Freitas, who will explore how those recordings, and her father’s work, inspired her own work as an artist.
