Back for a second year, The Science of Story returns to UC San Diego as a signature experience. Hosted with partners across UC San Diego, this immersive six-day event series explores the art, craft, and cultural power of storytelling — from speculative fiction to science communication, graphic novels to groundbreaking social commentary.
Held on UC San Diego’s campus and Park and Market in downtown San Diego, The Science of Story invites writers, readers, fans, and thinkers to come together and dive into the many dimensions of narrative. Join us for a one-of-a-kind celebration that bridges science and story, imagination and intellect—and sets the tone for Comic-Con week in San Diego.
